Regulations for Membership and Registration
PERCHERON CROSS
One parent must be a registered Percheron.
Registered with the Percheron Horse Association of America.
The second parent must be a registered Quarter Horse, Paint, Appaloosa,
Thoroughbred, or Arabian registered with
PHAOA, AQHA, APHA, ApHC, IPAA, AHC, IAHA or The Jockey Club.
DRAFT CROSS
To be eligible for registration as a Draft Cross, the horse must be at least 25% and not more than 75% Draft, or be the offspring of two DCROA registered Draft Crosses.
BREEDING STOCK
Pedigreed registered stallions and mares of all breeds are eligible to be recorded with the DCROA as breeding stock.
This is for ALL pedigreed animals.
These horses must be registered within their own Breed/Type Registry.
Any age is accepted for Breeding Stock Horses.
Stallion Recording - Owners of Stallions which are registered with another breed organization may pay a one time stallion fee to have their horse recorded with the DCROA. This option does not include a Registration Certificate, but does make the stallion eligible for inclusion in the Stallion Show Case as long as the owner is a current member of DCROA. Also the stallions foals are eligible for the Second Generation Discount.
Mare Recording - Owners of Mares which are registered with another breed organization may pay a one time mare fee to have their horse recorded with the DCROA. This option does not include a Registration Certificate, but does make the mare's foals eligible for the Second Generation Discount.
All colors and markings are accepted in the DCROA
Second Generation Foals are foals of two DCROA registered Horses.
(Both parents must be Registered with DCROA & DNA Tested)
Breeding Stock Horses - any age will be accepted for Registration with DCROA.
Second and continuing generation horses must be registered by 1 year of age
to be accepted by DCROA at the reduced standard rate.
DNA Testing is required for all horses that will be used for Breeding purposes.
Mares and Stallions.
HYPP testing is required for horses with Impressive blood lines that will be used for Breeding purposes.
Only Horses that are HYPP N/N will be accepted for Breeding Stock.
HERDA/HC testing is required for horses with Poco Bueno blood lines that will be used for Breeding purposes.
Only Horses that are HERDA/HC Neg will be accepted for Breeding Stock.
DCROA reserves the right to deny any name it deems inappropriate.
Membership is good for the calendar year specified. No prorating of Membership Fees.
Membership allows the member free website listing and discount prices on registration of horses and other services. Membership must be current to receive discounts.
All Fees are non-refundable unless application is denied. Membership Applications, and Registration or Recording Applications may be denied at the discretion of the Draft Cross Registry of America Administration or by our Board of Directors.
