Saddle-Up & Ride or Harness-Up & Drive
If you enjoy riding or driving your DCROA Horse for recreation, pleasure, work, show, or just ride for personal achievement, the DCROA Saddle-Up & Ride or Harness-Up & Drive Program is for you.
By enrolling in the Saddle-Up & Ride or Harness-Up & Drive Program, and riding or driving your favorite DCROA Horse - you will earn rewards for the time you spend riding and driving.
With Saddle-Up & Ride or Harness-Up & Drive, you set your own goals and measure your own success. Ride and/or drive at your own pace and earn rewards for simply doing what comes naturally — riding or driving a horse.
When you enroll in Saddle-Up & Ride or Harness-Up & Drive, you receive an official time log. Simply record each hour you spend riding or driving your DCROA Registered Horse and send your log to DCROA.
To be eligible, Rider Applicant must be a member of DCROA and must maintain DCROA Membership during the entire period of time in which the riding and driving hours are accumulated.
The horse(s) ridden or driven must be registered and recorded with DCROA.
The registered name and registration number of the horse must be listed on the log sheet.
There is a one-time $50.00 enrollment fee.
Rider must log hours riding or driving DCROA Horses on official log sheets.
Ride hours can be pleasure, work or show riding/driving.
Rider may ride more than one DCROA Horse.
DCROA Trail Rides qualify for Double Hours
Separate log sheets must be used for each horse, and a minimum of one log sheet must be submitted annually to maintain enrollment in the program.
Please remember that the deadline to turn in your hourly log sheets is December 31 of the current year.
