Regulations for Membership and Registration





PERCHERON CROSS

One parent must be a registered Percheron.
Registered with the Percheron Horse Association of America.

The second parent must be a registered Quarter Horse, Paint, Appaloosa or Thoroughbred.

Second & continuing generation foals must be from this line of DCROA horses.

This registry is to promote the Percheron Cross as its' own breed, while preserving pedigrees and tracking performances.




DRAFT CROSS

Any Horse with Draft Breeding crossed with lighter horse breeds

Both Parents must be registered in the breed/type registry of their own breed/type.

One parent must be a registered draft horse.
The second parent must be a registered saddle type horse.

This registry is so horse owners can obtain identification papers for their horses, while preserving pedigrees and tracking performances.




BREEDING STOCK

This is for ALL pedigreed animals regardless of their breed.

These horses must be purebred and registered within their own Breed/Type Registry.

Any age is accepted for Breeding Stock Horses.



UP STOCK

This registry is open to Draft Cross horses that do not qualify for the Breeding Stock, Percheron Cross or Draft Cross Registry. This registry is so horse owners can obtain identification papers for their horses, while preserving pedigrees and tracking performances.



All colors and markings are accepted in the DCROA

Second Generation Foals are foals of two DCROA registered Horses.
(Both parents must be Registered with DCROA & DNA Tested)

At this time any age will be accepted for Registration with DCROA

Second and continuing generation horses must be registered by 1 year of age
to be accepted by DCROA at the reduced standard rate.

DNA Testing is required for all horses that will be used for Breeding purposes.

Inspection is recommended for all horses that will be used as Breeding Stock.

HYPP testing is required for all horses that will be used for Breeding purposes.
Only Horses that are HYPP N/N will be accepted for Breeding Stock.
